    1. Hello Gillian,
Thank you, I thought I had better include a metro sign, they shine so much at night. You are right, the road was closed as it was starting to flood. The walkways were also covered in water, with the tree trunks floating!

  5. Sorry I have been tardy in commenting...I read yesterday's post and was in the middle of a response and the power went out....major snow storm hit us.....aaargh!

Today however....it's back to normal.....both posts are just so beautiful. I do believe you that you are having a wonderful visit and celebration....The pastry shop and the shop of copper pots is unbelieveable. I really am overwhelmed with the beauty and what Paris has to offer. I really shouldn't be like this but when you see the actual pictures it really makes things seem truly wonderful.

    Cheers

    Ron and Sophie here!

Thank you, I hope your snow is melting by now? Happy you liked my view, a bit one sided (food and pans!) but you can imagine all the other things there are to look at! Hope your cold has gone now!

  12. Just stumbled by your blog, and I have to follow because I lived in Rouen last year, so the Normandy region has a particular significance to me. And, I am a complete food geek! I look forward to investigating and recreating your recipes. My favorite dishes always included apples of some form (not too hard to do en Normandie!).

Anyway, Paris is simply magical. It's worth having a nice camera so you can capture the dazzling lights. I hope you're having a nice trip!

    1. Hello Nicole,
Happy you have joined! Food geeks are always most welcome!! Hope you find some memories of your stay in Normandy here. I go to Rouen most weeks, so we probably walked past each other a few times last year! Really like your creative blog and photography. Apples... I will make a note (we have about 37 varieties in the garden!)

  13. Hi Ivan! I finally finished the post Ugly Scary Vegetable. Here is a link: http://selkiegrey4.blogspot.com/2013/02/ugly-scary-vegetable.html
If anything about it bothers you, I will change it or unpublish it if you wish. If I could have reached you another way, I would have done so. The soup truly was delicious. I hope you like it.
