Paris here we come...


I am so very excited!  My parents arrived safely today to look after our naughty pug as we are off to Paris for a week for my partner's birthday. We have rented a big apartment and shall be meeting up with his siblings arriving from Canada.  We have much planned and many restaurants booked!   I shall be posting a few pictures along the way...

      That is very sweet of you, I shall tell him. We enjoy Paris at this time of year before it becomes too busy, we lived there for 15 years so we feel more like children returning home!

    Hi Ivan! I once got within 35 kilometers of Paris, and no closer. Two of my friends and I were doing the Volkswagen van trip through Holland, France, and Spain in 1972 that so many other college kids were doing at that time. I didn't drive yet, and they were too scared of the traffic to venture into Paris. :( I always swore I'd go back, and one day I will. I would so love to see the Louvre - and about a thousand other things! I hope that Mark's family has fun on their visit and that Mark has a happy, fun birthday!

      Thank you so much for your wishes, his family arrive in the morning and we are so excited to see them. 35km - that's close but maybe it was just for another time - a duel trip to 'Paris and Pompeii...' (There is an exhibition on this summer at the British museum (London). I will have to find out more if we go later this year, they had a baking pan they found. It maybe the one you went to see?). We are going to the Louvre on Sunday...
